When did you start blogging about Japan and why did you start?

I started blogging about Japan in February 2006, I started blogging because I needed somewhere to write about my interests in Japan and it’s culture as well as other things I am interested in that are in some way another related to Japan; such as video games, anime, cars, technology etc.

If you could introduce one of your posts to new readers which one would it be and why?

I would introduce them to my blog with my post about The 3 places in Japan I would like to visit. The contents of that post are what I dream about daily.

I read risingsunofnihon.com, techcrunch.com, dailyblogtips.com and various anime related blogs almost religiously.

Don’t know if he is a celebrity - Prince Hisahito, the current youngest member of the royal family.

What is the coolest gadget you have used or seen in Japan?

My blog is filled with robot related posts so any robot related gadget from Japan is cool to me.

What is it?
TV in Japan is pretty much what you would expect: a blog about TV in Japan. Japanese TV is kind of, well, let’s just say “unique.” Sometimes bizarre, sometimes funny, sometimes incredibly cheesy (think prime time shows with the acting ability of the cast of Saved By the Bell) and sometimes just unexplainable. Anyway, TV in Japan does exactly what their slogan gets at, “This is what TV is like. In Japan.”

What can I find there?
An endless amount of video clips, old and new, from Japanese TV shows and commercials.

Why should I check it out?
If you have never watched Japanese TV, you are have no idea what you are missing. There are no words I can type here to fully explain Japanese TV.

Conclusion
TV in Japan has some of the best clips from Japanese TV shows and commercials. Some clips are only in Japanese and some have subtitles, but for most, you do not need to understand Japanese at all to appreciate these tidbits from Japanese Culture. Since it is updated regularly you can add it to your daily routine of blogs to check and not be disappointed.
